Director Paul Soriano, husband of Toni Gonzaga, has once again become the center of attention after posting a meaningful message on social media. His post quickly attracted public attention, making many curious about the true meaning behind the words he shared.
Paul Soriano, who is known to be a private person about his personal life, rarely expresses his personal thoughts on social media. However, this time, his post has sparked much speculation from fans and the media. Some believe that this is simply an inspirational message, while others believe that it may be related to his personal life or work.
Toni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano have built a strong family together, and both have always supported each other in their careers. However, with their popularity, every move on social media becomes a topic of discussion. As of now, there has been no official response from Paul Soriano regarding the true meaning behind this post.
Whatever his message means, it has clearly attracted a lot of attention from the public. Fans are now waiting to see if Paul Soriano will elaborate further or if this is simply a personal statement from this talented director.
Toni, Paul get plastic surgery by co-workers
At a time when Toni Gonzaga is being attacked by a bunch of bashers, if there is one person who is always by her side and sympathizes with what she is going through, of course, it is none other than her husband, director Paul Soriano.
“I think people need to understand, whatever happens to Toni also happens to me,” said director Paul during his solo mediacon held at the Winford Hotel, Manila last Monday.
“I mean, we’re married, we’re one, and you know, of course, as a husband, you need to validate also what she’s going through.”
According to the director and Presidential Adviser for Creative Communications, among those who could not speak well of Toni were people she respected.
“So, you can’t just say, ‘don’t mind it,’ you know, ‘let it go’ because some of the hateful words, some of the hateful criticisms came from people the people that she really admired and that she really loved,” he said.
But for director Paul, he just looks at everything like a movie with a hero and a villain.
“In every movie, you have your protagonist. So, I see that as our antagonists. I mean, that’s just what it is. That’s what makes life exciting. We have a little bit of conflict, a little bit of drama,” he said.
He added that he has not really thought of a perfect formula to please everybody.
“It is impossible to please everybody. Study history, study politics, show business, even the best directors in the world, the best actors in the world have critics that are also very respectable.
“I’m a big fan of Steven Spielberg. Imagine that he still has critics. And we’re talking about worldwide criticism.
“So, what Tony and I have come to realize, that’s their roles in our lives. They’re antagonists and we just have to embrace it,” he explained.
What’s even more interesting is that these bashers, when they’re face to face, are nice to them.
“Online, you do that to my wife, you do that to me, but when I see them, ‘hey, direk, how are you? How are you?’ So, is it true? Do you really don’t like me or what?” Direk said.
That’s why he doesn’t believe what other bashers say unless they tell him straight to his face. ‘The others are just spur of the moment hatred that will never happen again.
“So, that’s why maybe I’m able to move on because if that colleague said something about me or my wife, that was then. Well, we’re living in the now. I’ve moved on.
“Like I said, honestly, I’ve never met anybody that has publicly spoken against me and my wife. Not in my face they told me how they felt. So, maybe it’s not real, I don’t know,” said Toni’s husband.
Meanwhile, director Paul is excited about the upcoming 48th Metro Manila Film Festival where one of the official entries is the movie ‘My Teacher’ which he directed starring his wife and Joey de Leon.
“Hopefully, this will also start and signify the comeback of cinemas and of course the industry that we all love so much, the film industry,” said the director.
“So hopefully you all can support ‘My Teacher’ and, of course, the other seven entries as well. And may this be the beginning of a merry Christmas and hopefully the rollback to all of us going back to the cinemas. I know we all miss it so much,” he said.
My Teacher is a collaboration project between Paul’s Ten17P and Toni’s TinCan. The cast also includes Ronnie Alonte, Loisa Andalio, Carmi Martin, Rufa Mae Quinto, Kakai Bautista, Jackie Lou Blanco, Pauline Mendoza, and Kych Minemoto.
