Nadine Lustre questions why plastic surgery is a ‘stigma’
A person’s plastic surgery shouldn’t be considered a bad thing, especially if they do it to improve themselves, said Nadine Lustre, while denying rumors that she had her nose done.
In an interview posted Saturday night on celebrity cosmetic surgeon Aivee Teo’s vlog, the 27-year-old actress questioned why plastic surgery is still considered a “stigma” or shame.
“One thing I really don’t understand, you know, is that, why is there such a stigma when it comes to plastic surgery?” said Lustre.
“Because I see it all the time, like every time someone is on the news because they got something done, people are always bashing that person and saying ‘Ay retokada!’” the actress said. According to Lustre, one should not hate someone if they decide to get retokada to improve a part of their body.
“It shouldn’t be a bad thing. If anything, it’s none of your business because they wanted to do it. It’s their body,” Lustre said.
Lustre once again denied the speculation that she had her nose done. Lustre previously said that that was the most “absurd” rumor about her that she had ever heard.
Nadine denies she had a nose job
“You can believe whatever you wanna believe, but I’m telling you now, I’m not lying to you that I’ve never had my nose done,” Lustre said.
He said the shape of his nose may have just become more “defined” after he lost weight.
“I feel like it’s because I lost a lot of weight … I feel like when I lost it (cheeks), everything else like became more defined and of course, I grew older,” he said.
Lustre admitted that he has been thinking about getting a facelift and that he would not hide it from people if he underwent the procedure.
Lustre also said in the past that he did not get a facelift because he was afraid of injections.
